FIRST TIME ON A MECHANICAL BULL!!!

Question: I just wanted to get peoples opinion. Do you feel that bull riding is animal cruelty or no? Thanks!

Answer: No, but I know PETA and other people will say yes.

MANY people believe rodeo is nothing but pure animal cruelty and that everyone mistreats these animals. FAR FROM THE TRUTH.
Yes, it is true that some animals get hurt, whether it’s a Bull who landed wrong, or a Horse who got too close to a Bull.
There are videos from rodeos where people think they mistreated that animal, however, Cowboys share a close partnership with their horse!

Bull riding is not cruel, why?
We don’t torment and tease these animals!
We don’t kick them so hard with spurs that they bleed!
Every single person in the rodeo that I have ever met, treats these animals with the up most respect!
These animals have the power to kill us and we all know that. We know that we are facing an animal and that we can get hurt.
All the rodeo animals have a shelter, come from HOMES, were bred for the rodeo lifestyle and are always cared for.
When they have done their rodeo career, they either go to homes where people will love and care for them or live out their days in retirement at their current home.

Yes, the fact that we add to the bucking is simply more for the crowds and to make the ride more showy, exciting, and add a wow factor, but we don’t hurt these animals in using flank straps, and spurs, and we make sure of it.

The main reason these animals buck is because they are essentially wild animals and want to get us off their backs, they are just acting on animal instinct.

If Bull Riding was such cruelty why is Rodeo such a big thing out west and no law enforcement is going after them?
If Bull Riding is cruelty why is there PBR?
If Bull Riding is cruelty then why is it in other countries?
If Bull Riding was cruelty don’t you think instead of spreading around the world, it would have been contained and stopped?!

Rodeo is our American way, and with that includes Bull Riding!

NO. let me put it this way, would you buy a $300.000 dollar house just to bulldoze it? how about a Ferrari, would you buy one just to run it off a cliff? the reason i bring up both of those examples is because that is how much some Rodeo Bulls cost , some more and some less but they are investments in an athletic animal. they are fed the best forage, they get Gatorade in their water to replace electrolytes in hot weather and they even get their hooves trimmed to keep them from getting any foot problems and to even out their hooves. they get regular vet checks and are inspected before and after each rodeo. most are big babies at the ranch and will follow you around like a puppy but they know their job and they love to do it. in a year of Rodeos the average bull will work for 18 minutes, 8 seconds at a time and the rest of the time they are relaxing, dont you wish you had a life like that?
